We are seeking industrial engineers to improve our supply chain and warehouse operations. You will be analyzing supply chain procedures, warehouse processes, reducing inefficiency, recommending and implementing improvements, and determining supply chain KPIs.
To ensure success, you should exhibit extensive knowledge of business operations and experience in a related industry. An accomplished supply chain engineer will be someone whose expertise translates into streamlined and cost-effective supply chain operations.
Scope of Work
The Industrial Engineer position could have several functions: Receiving Lines, Supply Chain/Put-away, or in quality control and improvements.
Quality Auditor Function:
We are looking for a detail-oriented quality auditor to oversee our quality control processes. You will be developing testing parameters for our products, reviewing products for industry compliance, and assessing production procedures. You may also need to train employees in quality standards.
Quality Auditor - Main Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing quality control audit plans.
- Identifying testing parameters for the outputs of the various operations stages.
- Evaluating each operations stage and testing the output of each based on the set parameters.
- Documenting faults and errors and recommendations for improvement.
- Assist Engineering in coming up with solutions to eliminate root causes.
- Ensuring each operation stage has documented processes.
- Training employees in quality standards and procedures.
- Preparing and presenting quality audit reports to senior management.
- Keeping abreast of industry standards and regulations.
Receiving Lines Function:
In the receiving lines, the industrial engineer coordinates and manages the production of the receiving lines and ensures quality of output, as per established standards, in order to meet the goals, set forth by top management.
Receiving Lines - Main Responsibilities
- Manages the receiving process and workers' schedules to meet production quotas within time and financial constraints.
- Manages the allocation of personnel throughout the receiving area and monitors their performance on a daily basis.
- Assists in receiving planning activities such as demand forecasting and receiving scheduling.
- Designs, implements, and constantly improves quality control processes.
- Audits the receiving operation, take corrective actions, design solutions, or trainings to eliminate faults.
- Monitors the receiving operation and promptly acts whenever receiving is off schedule.
Supply Chain/Put-Away:
In the put-away area, the industrial engineer oversees and manages the warehouse put-away area, plans and optimizes store replenishments, as well as implements a good warehouse management system to ensure good inventory management.
Supply Chain/Put-away - Main Responsibilities
- Evaluates existing supply chain and replenishment processes to identify areas that need optimization.
- Collaborates on supply chain procedures, including inventory management, warehousing, automation, systems integration, and distribution.
- Collects and interprets analytical and performance data to determine supply chain KPIs.
- Customizes and deploys efficient supply chain and warehouse management software.
- Designs the layout of facilities and determines personnel requirements.
- Trains and oversees junior employees on new processes and providing instructions and manuals.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, logistics, business, or a related field.
- At least 2 years experience as a supply chain engineer in a similar industry.
- Advanced proficiency in warehouse management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain analytics and KPI measurement.
- Extensive experience in supply chain analysis and optimization.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Superb collaboration and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
